Zacatecas Housing Project

Description of Location

Zacatecas state of Mexico is located in the north-central region and it is bounded to the northwest by Durango, to the north by Coahuila, to the east by San Luis Potosí, to the south by Aguascalientes and Guanajuato and to the southwest by Jalisco and Nayarit. The state is best known for its rich deposits of silver ore, its colonial architecture and its importance during the revolution. Zacatecas has 58 municipalities and the main economic activities are mining, agriculture and tourism. The state shares its name with its capital and chief center of population, the city of Zacatecas, Zacatecas.

Description of the Project

The Zacatecan government is interested in bringing outside investment into the housing industry.  GSJHCC members took a proposal to Zacatecas to build between 500 to 1000 homes in the next five years.  These homes will be built within sustainable communities and they will have the latest "Green" technologies.  The homes will be available to middle and middle-to-high income families.   If you want to learn more about the project please click on the "Read More" link or contact Ruben Hernandez at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
